So what have I been up to since my last post? Well, one night a couple weeks ago I went out with my American wed Scottish Friend Jaci- and her Scottish family. They were all so nice!! We went to the Dome- which is absoltely stunning. I can't wait to go back around Christmas time so that I can see it all done up. Christmas is a big thing out here and I am really looking forward to the Christmas Markets. After drinks at the Dome we went to an Italian restaurant for wine, dinner and dessert. Delicious
"A city that possesses a boldness and grandeur of situation beyond any that I have ever seen." -Thomas Pennant,
I have been able to make some friends at the University which is making it really nice to be there. I like being able to know the staff a bit more and the fellow students. We got the students together and went to a Chinese buffet last week called Cosmo. This place was an amazing place. I think the Angels sang and everything when you walked in and when you rolled out. It was quite the place. I will bring any of you there when you come to visit. Don't think American Chinese Buffet- this is classy. Check it out.
Tomorrow I am going to have Tea at the pastor and his wife's house (which means dinner). I learned that from my AmeriCanadian friends. They had me over last week for tea and it was delicious! Then on Tuesday this week we are celebrating the Canadian Thanksgiving. I am not sure what dish I should bring yet- but I will figure something great out. The church is nice and the people I have met have been really great people.
So as of now I am sitting here anticipating a video call soon to be able to "meet" my nephew who was born last week. He has been released from the baby ICU and is on his way home. I can't wait to say hi to him live. Welcome to the world Wyatt!! He makes a great birthday gift for his big sister, Jillie, who turns 2 today also. Happy Birthday sweet girl.
