The flight was long. Although the first leg of it was not so bad, the experience at the London airport was terrible. We had a lay over but it took about an hour and a half to get through security. Enough time left to pee and rush through the airport for the next flight. Three people in the line at security already missed their flights because of the process. After rushing through in panic..we made it and they were running late. Ha. So we sit and wait get on the plane and then wait and wait and wait. It was like an additional hour before we took off. I fell asleep a bit and then we finally made it. Our luggage was some of the last luggage to arrive and then we headed to the bus. All four bags, one purse and a smaller duffle bag made it on the bus and we arrived! Dropped the stuff off at the hotel and then headed out to find food.
I went to bed around 7pm and slept until around 6. I woke up itching all over...in fear of bed bugs I got showered, dressed and headed down stairs. They checked and we didn't see any. I think I ma have experienced my first attack of the little mosquito. I have no idea. I don't have like 15 in a row just a bite here and there. Enough to freak me out.
I'm looking forward to getting into my apartment and getting settled. Today we will make a list of everything I need to do, buy etc. My hope is that I will get my cell phone taken care of today too. Maybe run up to the school and open the bank account.. Oh and I plan to exchange some dollars into pounds so maybe tomorrow my coffee or tea experience won't be Starbucks.
Much love and happiness to everyone back home! I am safe and look forward to keeping you all updated on what's happening.
